Dragged my sorry ass up Campbell Classic again this afternoon to do battle with the erosion beast;

The Problem - A gulch that washes out at the slightest provocation

The Solution :-)

Er., cough... the real solution - A Screened Culvert!

The Process - Catch basin, Culvert and Drain Tiles

The End-Result

Added a whack of drainage dips to the trail as far as the DQ Table. If anyone is into showing The Whoop some Trail Love; the dirt-bike climbing track near the end of the Whoop could use some serious diversion ditches above the bike crossing - the spot I dug out and repaired the other day - which washed out again...

Either head up and dig some cross-trenching above the mountain bike trail (75 or so feet up) or gimme' a call and I'll head up there with you. We seem to have won the dirt-bike vs. mountain bike pissing contest for that crossing, all we need now is a solid solution for the trail damage and water drainage caused by said dirt-bags, er, dirt-bikers... I'm thinking water diversion above, followed by another culvert at the crossing point.

...and it still failed...

The thing just filled with silt, plugging up the stones and culvert... Gotta use bigger stones and bigger culvert perhaps.

Maybe you need a lesson from the Shore girlz; build a bridge up and over.
