YAMS (Yet Another Mice Shuttle!)
YAM I Am
Gary and I determined that it was too hot and too late to... er, nevermind, we were just too damned lazy to ride up to the top of Mule Deer in order to get in a drop through the newly opened Ponderosa trail, in addition to Nick H.'s new (unnamed?) trail (I vote for calling it Ponderosa as well, as they pretty much interface with one-another, and could easily do so with a small connector trail).
At any rate; 1) Shuttling is fun! 2) Ponderosa Rocks 3) The yet-to-be-named trail rocks even harder... much harder... Its a little tough to follow at this point in time, but with a little traffic, it'll will rock out in the extreme! Note that its a technical trail, consider it "Dark Blue" as an indicator of level of difficulty. Kudos to Nick and Chris! Some pics' from today's ride:
Gary enjoying the new trail
Happened upon remnants of an old (house?) while bushwhacking near Turnbull Creek
In the absolute middle of nowhere; a HUGE rockpile... for what reason???
Vista from rockpile-lookout; southwest
Vista from rockpile-lookout; northwest
New bridge on Ponderosa. The twigs miiight not be such a good idea long-term...
Isometric of new trail - shown as yellow line. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!
