Sheeprock Mt. Empty Sheeprock Mt.

Post  Admin Sun Jul 29, 2012 11:40 pm

Pierre, Kwacker and I began our adventure at the Shatford Main FSR and rode up the old Joe Harris Cow Trail to the Broken Creek junction, following it up to the summit of Sheeprock. Climbing from hell commenced, ending at the scraggly, dual-peaked Sheeprock Mt. A nice touch was the dirt-bikers coming in and cutting out all of the deadfall. This was the first time that I've ever ridden Sheeprock without having to cut a single tree!

But that wasn't the point of this adventure...

The DH / XC / All-Mountain descent is pretty massive, and the temps' were cool enough on the ascent that we were still fresh for a high-speed drop; which kicked serious butt! Below are a few pics' of the day's ride.
