These are not pretty to look at - the cabinets and grills are rough! That said, these are pretty nice sounding speakers for bookshelf units. Sound Dynamics was made by the same company (API) that made Energy and other Canadian speakers. The re-foamed 6" woofers produces adequate bass response for most types of music, though they mate well with subs for gut-shaking rock and roll sessions.

The high efficiency, hard dome horn loaded tweeter is what really sets these apart from other smaller speakers; great for female vocals. The magnet assembly is huge and the Horn is solid cast aluminum with a tuned port on the front. On the back is a high freq. potentiometer to adjust the highs to suit your taste. These are larger and much heavier construction than most bookshelf speakers. 9.5" W 9.25" D 14.5" H - 20 Lbs each
