Has anyone done much riding in the William's lake area or Chilcotin's?

I am planning a summer mountain bike trip up there and would love some info about the area if anyone has been?

Thanks!

I was at the Barn last week talking to Aart and he mentioned that he was planning a trip in the Chilcotin's this summer as well. He may have some info for ya.

Chilcotin's/Williams Lake Empty William's Lake

Rowena,

Here is a quote out of 'Mountain Bike' magazine 08/10/10:

Williams Lake, British Columbia
“…of loggers, ranchers and really good dirt”

There are now more than 130 trails in close proximity to this hardscrabble pioneer town affectionately referred to as “Bill’s Pond” in the heart of the Cariboo-Chilcotin region. Although the Coast Mountains sit to the west and the Rockies to the east, the surrounding area is mostly hilly, not mountainous, grass plains.

There’s a new bike park being built in the center of town, and miles of classic XC trails to keep the hammerheads spinning for hours.

Check out this link to the club bike site; http://puddlebike.com
