How to 'Post' on this site

I receive a lot of questions about exactly how to ‘post’ on the bikepenticton.com discussion forums. As such, here is a “How to 101”.

First off, you need to be a member with an account to post anything, so create one based on the previously posted tutorial available here:

Once that’s out of the way:

Go to the main forum site: https://bike.darkbb.com
…and click on a category, such as Trail Report or Nuts and Bolts etc.

Once within a category, click on New Topic

A windows will appear, Click into TITLE OF THE TOPIC field and fill in a quick description about whatever it is that you wish to say in the main ‘body’ of the message below - just like the SUBJECT / BODY fields in a standard email message.

Next, click into the large white window below (the ‘body’ of the message) and type your heart out. There are no real limits to how much you can enter in there.

After the TITLE and BODY of the message are filled in, click on PREVIEW or SEND to either view your text as it will look to others, or simply SEND it off to the interwebz’

And that’s about it for basic posting. I’ll cover posting images at a later date, or you can bugger around and figure it out for yourself. You can’t hurt anything by playing, aside from shorting out the Internet and the national power-grid, causing thousands of low-orbit satellites to crash into the earth :-)
