Night Rides Rock!
Curt, Rob and I headed into the Mice via shuttle through Cow's End at around 8:30 pm last night for the first NIGHT RIDE of the year (!) There is obviously a great deal of logging going on up Mt.Randolph, as Arawana Rd. is graded and oiled to its best state in years. On the way down, post-ride, we were passed by a massive Kenworth logging truck heading up sometime around 11:30pm!
With a full charge in the batteries and perfect outside temps we headed up via an old resource road, eventually connecting with and descending the Sidewinder trail. I cannot emphasize how much different your favorite trail appears at night with lights vs. daytime riding; its an utterly unique experience - and you get to enjoy the inevitable coyote serenade :-)
Join us on our next outing - Friday Aug.24th, Campbell Mt., 8:30pm at the north parking lot
Sidewinder is a hoot at night!
Late evening skyline
Bright Lights!
Dustin' off after a blown corner
Night-time trail-dog
Modern bike-lights are freakishly bright!
