KVR Working Group
Well, this evening's KVR Working Group presentation went... off the tracks.
First off; folks - ya' just have to make some kind of effort once or twice a year to support social trail activities. Tonight's event was attended by about 250 people - and I saw a grand total of two cyclists in the audience.
And that's completely lame...
This allowed the mud-bogger / rampant redneck crowd to control the microphone and to some extent, the audience as a whole.
Had this been an event at which an Olympic athlete / RedBull Rampage winner / whatever -- someone who might give off that 'aura of glory' - the place would have been packed with riders hoping that being in the same room with these folks might make them look good.
Ya' I'm kinda' pissed / kinda' disappointed. Our community needs to rally around quality causes; of which this is one - not poser / ego-fed lameness.
Try to attend real / socially relevant causes and make a valid difference in your community; not pathetic pop-culture nonsense. Ya', I know, some of you were at the final Toonie Race of the year; good on ya', but what about the other 300 or so riders in the valley?

Yes, I'm one of the people that didn't attend either event, chose to go grocery shopping...
Who presented? Was it the RDOS? or the KVR working group committee?
Is there an online version of the presentation?
Is there a place for online feedback?
Thanks,

Who, what. when
It was the KVR Working Group, of which the RDOS is a board member.
The 'fallout report' will be posted online soon, at which point I'll provide a link.

This page has a link to a transcript of the meeting, though I have heard rumours it is not word for word what people said.

Letter to the Editor
From 2010 onward, the Woodwackers have approved various motions to “recommend the closure of the KVR Trail to all motorized vehicles from the Penticton boundary to the north end of the Little Tunnel.

The motorized vs. non-motorization of the KVR trail raises it's head once again.
