New way into the Mice
Dino and I played hookey from work this afternoon and explored a new method of accessing the 3 Blind Mice. It's a weird variation on a shuttle - with a "you gotta' earn it" twist... We dropped a vehicle at Poplar Grove, then drove up to the top of Pinetree Way (Cul De Sac) and began climbing.
The route takes one on a series of dual-track and quad trails, eventually connecting with an offshoot of the Greyback Mt. road. It climbs slightly thereafter, evens out, then drops to the top entrance of High Pony / Rainbow trail.
Along the way, "a hundred and one" single and dual-track options presented themselves... fodder for future exploration.
The best thing; its all on Crown land (mostly under Sather grazing leases, the owners of which we have forged an excellent working relationship with).
The views en-route were amazing, the weather was perfect and the potential for more amazing trail connections lucrative...
Orange is the 'new route', red is the existing Mice trail network
