5 Riders
Huge thanks to Brent, Dino, Kurt and Pierre for showing up to help work on the new Campbell Mt. east face trail. The digging is primo' at this time of year - so there isn't any excuse that the balance of the riders reading this haven't come out this year to help create quality singletrack infrastructure!
Ya' I'm a bitch about this point; but the fact is, if you are a mountain biker, you are morally responsible for showing up for (((at least one))) trail maintenance or trail-building day per year! Yer' mom aint' out there building for ya! - neither is Mr.Ranger or Smokey the Bear; the fact of the matter is that quality riding experiences depend on YOU helping out!

Re: 5 Riders
I hadn't been to the top of the mountain since our last Toonie Race.
Was up at Campbell early in the morning and did some trail cleaning.
The trail digging a couple of us did on the uphill section seems to be working to divert water off.
Especially near the cleared powerline area, that section worked really well.
I noticed i have still a little bit work to do again.
I also noticed the new "Fiore extension"(??) is being used well by the cows. I ran out of time but i was going to try and fill in the hoof prints they have been leaving. Some are pretty deep. You don't want them filling with water and eroding.
I have Campbellcross this afternoon so i am hoping if i have time to try and smooth em out.

The culprits are on their way to Burger King and McDonalds in the next few weeks. You might wanna' let it be for now and we'll fix it up when they exit the scene.
The holes that they create are actually less damaging in conjunction with water than a tire track running down a slope. Their tracks simply allow water to perculate into the ground, while ours encourage aggregation and acceleration of water, thus causing erosion.
