Legal TTF's on City Property (?)
Last night I wrote up a brief summary of what I would like to construct in the way of Technical Trail Features on City of Penticton property on Campbell Mt., then submitted it to C.O.P staff.
I feel that its more than high time that we design and constructed a couple of quality-built TTF's, demonstrating that features of this nature can be safely implemented on public lands.
The plan is to (over-engineer) a pair of basic jumps, one 2ft and another 3ft, taking safety into account as a paramount focus - ie; fall-zones / runout / signage etc. Once in place and given the blessing of city staff, these humble beginning could serve as a touchstone which we can point to in future endeavours - and perhaps some day - a proper skills park!

Dirt Bikes
Hopefully those guys will soon be excluded from Campbell - those dudes just don't know how to responsibly use dirt-bikes (duh - the obvious statement of 2012)...
As a dirt-bike rider and practically lifetime motorcycle aficionado, I can wholeheartedly state that they are lame in a way that simply lacks words...
If the freaking gov' would get its collective ass in gear and mandate a dirt-bike / quad side-sticker licensing scheme (like exists in EVERY OTHER PROVINCE except Quebec) then we would see a massive drop in idiotic dirt-bike riding in the province.
If you wanna' do your part in getting that to happen a weeeeeee bit faster, then go here:

...and click on the 'Contact Us' link on the top right of the page. Feel free to let them know how you feel about the fact that this freakin' important legislation is taking decades to see the light of day...
