I went for a walk around with my Lab Gus on Saturday afternoon. We parked above the dump on the north end of Campbell and went from there. The pictures tell the story for that part of the Mountain.

You must mean North side, not South?

This was on South side today March 3rd;

Thanks buddy I stand corrected. I was referring to the North Side.

The south side entrance off the Cul-De-Sac is pretty much perfect - with the exception of a fair amount of cactus... Whoever created that trail has figured it for both ascending and descending - its quite good. What we have to do is gain legit' access to its entrance before we face another Pleasant Valley (an ironic moniker) fiasco...

Here is a clip (taken with an iPhone, so disregard the quality) of a log-ride that we built (Alex / Dino / Pierre and I) in a half-hour or so of buggering around on the mountain yesterday. As log-rides go, its a real beauty!

At any rate, the dry land surrounding the log-ride provides some idea of how excellent the riding is on Campbell's south slopes.
