Introductory Loop Signage for The Mice
Am just tossing around some ideas for "Introductory Route" signage for the Mice. In 2012 PACA had determined that they wanted to sign a basic "Intro' to the Mice" route for new-ish riders and tourists alike. The suggestion was the Lookout Loop (aka; "The Ashtray).
I'd volunteered to create and ask Vance (or others) to erect said signage. Here is what I came up with in a few minutes of mulling... its not set in stone by any means, so have at it with your ideas, post some of your own signage concepts etc., final say goes to the current executive committee as they have to answer to the Crown land managers.
In a nutshell; it needs to be simple, quick to catch the eye, descriptive in title and difficulty (here I've borrowed from the ski resort industry color-scheme). Whatever design is chosen, they'll be cut from metal - same as the current trail-title signage, but may end up a tad larger in order to be eye-catching...
This Intro' Route (loop) will be prominently featured on the pending trail-head signage at the Pearly Gate (bottom / southern Mice entrance)
Lets see what you come up with.

Re: Introductory Loop Signage for The Mice
What size would we be looking at for signs?

Re: Introductory Loop Signage for The Mice
My two cents:
Call it "classic loop" (nice and simple)
Add a colored "dot" to existing signage to indicate the "classic loop."
An explanation of this on map.
Saves money!
