Rose Valley Redux!

Harry and I explored a brand new trail in Rose Valley this afternoon, as well as a 'new-to-me' oldie.  The area's mecca of trail options never ceases to amaze - and each time that I ride Rose Valley, I find new routes to check out in the future.  The valley looks somewhat smallish, but offers an absolute cornucopia of route options! Rides here generally run 18 to 20 km.

For those familiar with the area; in the map below, note the new south-west trending drop-in off the top of West Kelowna Mt. Rd., near the top right-hand corner of the screen ("Cattywampus" >> Smith Cr. style with rock-jumps) as well as the eastern return route on the mid and lower right part of the image (we generally ride the top-most ridge-line south to north).

How was the ride?

The two newest area trails: "CattyWampus" and "Swamp Donkey" are both masterpieces of manual labor - by the same builder as Smith Creek...  The new-to-me return leg on the east face of Rose Valley Park is a hell a' lot easier to ride than the ascent to the ridge line that we usually take!

It was warmish, but the lack of bugs balanced out the pain :-)

I'm keen to return to the area as I am aware of multiple additional trails in and around Rose Valley that beg for exploration!
