A.M. Helmet with removable face-guard
Speaking with many riders over the years, loads of people thought that the old Giro Switchblade helmets with the small removable mouth-guards were a great idea. Unfortunately, the guards were too small, a fellow had an accident and broke / embedded the guard into his face - causing massive lacerations... lawsuits ensued and the product was pulled off the market.
Not a single North American company has released a helmet with removable face-guard since.
Enter the Krauts! As it turns out, Casco of Germany has been producing a helmet with removable face protection for many years. Not only that, but their 'pseudo-full-face' helmet sports a far beefier face-guard than the old Giro models.
Contacted the company tonight for North American dealer info'...
