Right you are. To date we've only - (mostly ) - been posting organized Sunday rides. What you see is whats left of one I posted for a two month period, last one tomorrow.

If you would like to post requests for semi-organized rides, please do so in the "Wanna' Ride, Meet Me At..." forum ( https://bike.darkbb.com/wanna-ride-meet-me-at-f4/ )

I am off for a few weeks to see the folks in N.S., I do believe that the club will create a new 'July' document for rides while I am gone.

Semi-organized Empty Three Blind Mice

Post  Dutch Tue Jul 14, 2009 5:47 pm

I will be riding Three Blind Mice on any or all of Monday to Thursday every week after work till Halloween. I usully head out around 6pm. When it gets dark I will start night rides. If there are any interested parties post a reply or show up at the gate up Ripple Road. If there is a Silver Ford Ranger parked nearby then I'm riding.

Since I'm new to the whole mountain biking world could you answer a couple of questions?

I took a look at the ride on Google Maps but it's hard to get an idea of what sort of ride this is.

1) How long of a ride is "Three Blind Mice"?

2) How difficult of a ride is it?

Semi-organized Empty Three Blind Mice

It is as long as you want to make it, a 2km short loop up to 20km+. There are numurous combinations since there are so many trails. As for difficulty...I would rate it as intermediate but forgiving enough for beginners if you take breaks and push the small sections. The other option is to shuttle up Arawana and ride down.
Go to http://www.penticton.ca/maps/HikingTrailsMap.asp and search for trails and look at the maps or go to the Bike Barn and ask for a map of Three Blind Mice. That is what I did since I am only here for the summer.

Semi-organized Empty Newest Mice Map

Post  Admin Mon Jul 20, 2009 11:44 pm

Here is the latest Mice map; color by elevation, with all of the government 'trees' removed to make the lines stand out better.
