iPhone MyMaps - Google Earth

Finally took the time to figure out the Google 'My Maps' feature this morning. As it turns out, this is the Holy Grail of iPhone mapping: a way to load Google Earth .kml / .kmz files into the free Google Earth 'App' that ships with every iPhone ever made!

Better yet, and cooler than any of the many third-party applications available on the iTunes store, the MyMaps technique positions one on the track in real-time. This, without spending a cent, and with the added advantage of pan / tilt / zoom etc.

I would be interested to learn if this trick works for Blackberry and Android powered smartphones; I have an iPhone, so can only comment on that platform.

Works like a hot damn on the Blackberry as well. Little hard to see things on the BB Curve but still shows up.
