Mahoney-White Lake Highlands

I've been spending some time wandering a highland area east of the White Lake Observatory these past few weeks; a height of land encompassing the body of the mountains within the Mahoney-White Lake Loop trail.

Koko (dog) and I have been clearing deadfall and boulders from some of the sweetest singletrack in the area. 'The White Lake Highlands' (I've just invented the title :-) is riddled with cattle and game trails in every direction, but since its within Parks BC / Nature Trust / Land Conservancy / Ministry of Environment lands, there are no dirt-bike / quad rednecks around to tear it up... Very Nice!

Please remember that this land designation also means that we, as hikers / riders, have to be extra-easy on the land when we go into the area as well!
