Movie Night - PACA will be screening the multi-award winning movie ‘Life Cycles‘ at the Penticton College theatre on April 21st at 7pm. Funds raised at the event will go toward the Penticton Women’s Shelter; admission by donation at the door. Details at www.bikepenticton.com

Earth Day 2011 - PACA will host a Campbell Mt. tree planting session on Earth Day, April 22nd. See the PACA website for full details. Imagine riding through a forest that (you) planted - join us, then proudly admire your trailside work for life!

Trail Day - PACA will host a series of five trail maintenance days in 2011. The first of these features Campbell Mountain’s northwest access route on April 23rd. Support [your] trails, do your part; join us! Full details at www.bikepenticton.com CANCELLED

AGM Results - PACA recently hosted our third annual AGM. While two individuals stepped aside for various reasons, we gained two new executive members on the evening. Together, we look forward to providing the cycling community with a vital club full of amazingly cool events!

PACA Guided Trail Days - For our third straight year we will be leading guided rides to a cornucopia of South Okanagan trails. Most excellent riding weather is finally upon us, so I’ll try and keep this short…

Pot Luck & AGM First off, your bike club is hosting its third annual AGM on Tuesday, March 29th at 7:30pm. The event will be held at the United Church (‘the blue church’) on the corner of Main and Eckhardt Ave. This time around we will spice it up (literally) with a Pot Luck Supper! Ya’ Baby! Come on down, mingle with your kinda’ people and feast like kings and queens! Everyone from the community is welcome to join us - this event is not limited to PACA club members!

Trail Reports The bike club’s discussion forum is the place to find out what is happening with local trails this spring. Wanna’ know what’s open this early? Check it out.

Movie Night & Fund-Raiser Join fellow riders at Okanagan College on Thursday, April 21st 7pm, as we screen the absolutely amazing film ‘Life Cycles’. This movie will change the way that you look at bike videos; it has won numerous prestigious awards around the world and dropped the jaw of everyone that I’ve shown it to so far. All funds raised through our ‘volunteer donations’ admission will go directly to the Penticton Woman’s Shelter; a very worthy cause to show your support for!

A Mice Map Most Excellent PACA is hard at work on the final draft of a new map of the ever-popular Three Blind Mice. Check out the progress to date. We invite your input prior to the mid-April printing. The final product will be available as a three-fold brochure, on waterproof / rip-stop paper.

Earth Day 2011 - Ride For The Planet! To celebrate Earth Day 2011, PACA - with support from the BC Ministry of Tourism & Innovation, will host a ‘Plant A Tree’ day on Campbell Mt. Ride with us on April 22nd at 4:45pm (sunset is 8:01pm that day) as we ascend Campbell Mt. from the north parking lot. We'll plant several hundred seedlings and later, enjoy a beautiful sunset descent!

I hope to see all of you at the AGM / Potluck Supper. We welcome everyone in the community to join us for this ‘feast’ive event!
