Mice - up to the top of Far Out Ridge
Rode up and into the Mice this afternoon - as far as the top trailhead of Far Out Ridge (767m elevation). The good news is that the trails are 90% dry up to the aforementioned split anyway; I was hoping to make the Ashtray, but time / light conspired against me.
The bad news is that the wet spots between the dry bits are fairly significant.
On the other hand, if there is one thing that we have in spades in the Mice, its loads of very flat rock. Spent some time building 'brick roads' atop the muddy sections - and urge you to do the same. This time of year is great for making the boggy spots obvious; take advantage of it by spending 5 minutes showing the Mice some Trail Love!
