Morgenstern's Gate - Reno Empty Morgenstern's Gate - Reno

John went up early and did the post and wire; nice work man! Myself, Kurt and Brent showed up at 5pm to do a trail decommission, berm and new trail buffing. The end result; a beauty exit / entry trail from the Red Gate, a "kinda' like new" gate (a coat of paint does amazing things) a sturdy post assembly for all to enjoy and no more driveway erosion for the Morgensterns.

Here are a few pics' of the day. I'll release the one of Brent Biting It bigtime (mid-air actually) if enough of you demand it :-)

Morgenstern's Gate - Reno Empty Berm fail

Post  1part@atime Sat Apr 28, 2012 12:04 am

I'm glad the photo of my berm fail didn't turn out. Work boots on borrowed bike didn't seem to work for me.

* I'm surprised you were able to post after huffing a can of paint.

Er... ya', it did turn out actually; it kinda' looks like the bike is exiting stage right, and you are doing a sorta' kind'a four-point landing on the trail... :-)

Who wants to see it?!? :-)

Looks can be deceiving. I realized the berm had issues so I dismounted and was kneeling down for a closer inspection of what needs to be done still.
Simple misunderstanding.
And my ankle hurts now too.

Morgenstern's Gate - Reno Empty Brent - The Restless Trail-Worker

Ah, yes... I see it now; look at his right hand and note how its just a blur - He's actually working on tamping the berm, he isn't wiping out at all!
