Keogan North

Spent an excellent afternoon hiking the lowlands north of Mt. Keogan with
Mark from the Oliver Bike Club and John from the Penticton Outdoor Adventurers.
Great company, fantastic weather, amazing trails - what better way to spend a
day playing hooky from work!?

We hiked and GPS'd several new areas on the slopes, cleared (existing) trails a bit and secretly longed for our bikes the whole time... :-)

Next outing will be a very cool loop trail on the south face of Mt. Hawthorne - if anyone is into a late Fall hike (hey, winter doesn't start till' the 21st!), let me know and we'll go! If the weather cooperates, we could do it as a ride instead - that would be a very technical route with a bit of hike-a-bike involved - however, I see two log-overs built up in the area, so someone is riding it... why not us!
