Carmi Canyon Trail

Wow! April 1st and the Carmi Canyon trail is, for all intents and purposes, "open".

There is one spot which is a little moist (is at the best of times) but other than that, I sussed out the area on foot; top, middle and bottom, and it looks ready to rock n roll! Time to get my arse in gear and install the top gate from the parking lot...

During this inversion / overcast weather pattern that we've been experiencing, the best place to spend time is "Up Carmi". The Carmi Recreational Trail Network for novices and the Carmi Canyon trail for more advanced riders.

Spent a couple of hours up-top today -- what an excellent escape it offers from the cool-weather-grey that is casting a pall overhead down here.

Dino and I shuttled the Carmi Canyon trail today, did some trail maintenance along the way and enjoyed the beautiful late afternoon sun. It's still very comfortable in long sleeves / cycling pants / full-finger gloves, even at those elevations.

Short, sweet, fast and semi-technical: hard to beat for a quick after-work rip!
