Long distance Single Track
I'm currently working on a IMBA project.
Does anyone know of anything that could fit this criteria in the Penticton area?
There
exist opportunities to do a long distance (40 miles/65 km) and possibly
multi-day singletrack tour. This could combine different trail systems.

SmokeShow
That was a J.Smoke' project when he was club president. It is tough to pull this off without First Nations participation as much of his intended route passed through their land - if returning to Penticton and wishing to avoid the KVR. There is also First Nations land in Vernon, along with death-defying watershed crevasses to deal with up there...
A project could be done between OK Falls and Penticton on the east slope. Enter at the OK Falls garbage dump, head north for and beyond Derenzy Lake, popping out at the Ellis FSR near the 201 intersection. From there, a myriad of service roads exist that will take one to Greyback Lake, then back down through the Mice. The distances involved demand crews on dirt-bikes... 70+km
Or
There is always the option of the B*allBuster known as the Okanagan Highlands Trail. Here is a link to the Google Earth file; 67.4km of gruntagious hiking and biking...

Here is the website of the company that recently went in and cleared / remarked the route:
