Trail Day

Anyone want to organise a trail day for the 23rd of June at Campbell?
To finish off the new trail?

I'm gone to Nova Scotia on the 21st, but hope to get in there and finish more of that trail this week - perhaps this coming weekend?

Wanna' push for a trail-day a little sooner? This incoming moisture and cool weather will make for great diggin'

Went in and did some work the last two evenings. Jeremy helped out as well Wednesday night.  I might get in there tomorrow as well.  Work is a little thin tomorrow.

Went in and dropped a hundred feet or so of trail this afternoon; two-beer worth :-)

Rode some of the stuff below it; see that there appears to be a change of heart in routes, as there now appear to be various options pin-flagged in...

We should get together and determine which of the line options we are going to cut in before we dig another foot of trail.

My ride; The Sir Galahad Edition!

I Pinned the reroute as an option to the very upper section. Upon digging the upper section it is mainly sandy soil and the one switchback is going to be tricky.  However the view is better on the original route.  It is just an option that I saw.  I am busy tomorrow as well as most of Sunday. Probably won't get back in there till Tuesday.

We were up there Thursday and we were a little confused to where the trail was going. Anymore digging going on soon?

Sometime over the weekend i will be heading up Campbell to mark the race course for next Tuesday.
I am thinking Red Pin Flags would stand out.

Does anyone have any other suggestions.

It does start at the top, you just need to ride up there first.
I should have explained it better last year.

How much is left to do Gary? I'm heading up Sunday Afternoon to ride and mark the course.

On my own there is another 4 evenings to get it fully completed. With help much quicker. I rode the whoop trail on the backside yesterday. The two areas we addressed last year for erosion need help once again. An hours work tops. I am able to help you mark out the course if you want. Let me know when you want to go. Red ribbon would work fine. The colours used by others up there already are orange and pink. A combination of blue and pink would show up good as well. I have a couple rolls of pink. I would just need to pick up some blue.

Okay lets do a Sunday Afternoon Trail Session.
I'll organise people for 3:30 so that we are up there digging by around 4:30.
Two hours of digging and everyone is home for dinner.

Can you organise some more tools? I only have One McLeod and Two Rakes. I don't really know where i could borrow some more.

I'll then head up Monday to do the course marking.

We have about 8 or 9 people who have said they can come out and help do some trail maintenance tomorrow.
Fingers crossed we get some good weather for it!!

Rowena and I rode the course today for some trail marking. Got it marked to a useable level so hopefully no one gets lost.
Course is riding fast for tomorrow night. Should be a good time.
