The 'New' KVR Trail Empty The 'New' KVR Trail

Post  Admin Tue Oct 18, 2011 9:27 pm

Inquiring minds had to know, so Koko and I went and checked out the newly 'paved' KVR trail between Sutherland and Arawana Rd. As it turns out, its not really pavement, and not really gravel; its more like 'Pavel' :-)

The surface is fairly hard and very consistent. I'm not sure about the longevity of the material, but at present its created an amazing surface material for walkers / runners / riders. From what I understand, the long-term plan is to complete the 'Paveling' between Sutherland Rd. and Penticton - which would afford the valley an outstanding path through wine country (as if it wasn't spectacular enough already!).

Check it out for yourself, and I'm sure that you'll find that any reservations about "paving the KVR" will melt away as you coast through the countryside.

Its a Beauty eh?

Paveling does sound better than graving, good choice.
