The next time that you are wandering along White Tail and want to see something "new" in the Mice - check out the newly named, and not-yet signed - Turnbull Creek Connector. It appears as a well-marked right-hand junctioning trail about 550m prior to the Turnbull Cr. bridge crossing.

At present, its demarcated with rocks in a 'landing-strip' formation at the trail head, appearing on your right as you ride north along the White Tail trail. A quick maneuver between two small boulders and you are on your way. If you need some help finding it, check out the updated Mousterpiece Google Earth map (also available in our Mapping area).

The Turnbull Cr. Connector allows one to bypass at least 50% of the tough climbing on the original Turnbull Cr. Trail, while providing a look at some interesting new terrain. Keep straight along the main trail, ignoring if you like, the raked out trail exiting to the left part-way along. I've cleaned up some old game trails to the left, but they really don't go anywhere, winding back onto the Turnbull Connector, or dumping one out onto the original Turnbull Cr. trail prematurely. Consider them simply an exercise in wandering around the forest :-)
