Road cycling club in Penticton?

I am wondering if there is a road cycling club that rides out of Penticton? I have searched this sight but am finding most clubs are based in Kelowna. I am new to the area and am looking for a moderate pace(22-25 kmh) riding group.
Any suggestions?

I think Colleen is trying to get a group road ride started Sunday mornings. I will confirm but I think it's going to be Smith & Co. at 9am. This would be a club ride, you can get the form from bikepenticton.com !

What kind of riding will be the 9 am ride? Do i need to join the club straight away?

The rides vary greatly depending on who is there and the weather. Maybe 30-60km, so maybe north out to painted rock or south and do the mclean creek loop or maybe even further like Oliver. I would guess speeds are around 25km/hr?? but the idea of PACA rides is to wait for people, we don't have a culture of dropping people.

The membership fee for the club is $40, $37 of which goes to our insurance provider (CyclingBC) which covers you on group rides. Membership in the club also supports cycling advocacy in Penticton, among other things.

Cycling BC allows one freebie ride. You can come try it out and see if it's for you before you pay. Though I recommend supporting your local bike club anyways! :)

Hey bikerchick99, so didn't see you at the coffee shop?
We had a great ride, only 3 of us, went Eastside rd. McClean Creek road, old Oliver Ranch rd to Vasauxu Lake, then back to Ok Falls via Hwy, and back Eastside Rd. About 53 km total.
Average speed 25km.
Great weather, not a drop of rain, and no wind...
