7 Summits Q's (and answers?)
I am planning on doing the 7 summits in August with a group of riders. I know a number of people have ridden the trail and I have a couple of questions. First, is there any water on the trail? I have been doing some reading and can't find anything. Also, I am thinking around 5 hours round trip. Is that reasonable? How long has it taken others? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

7 Summits
I've ridden the 7 Summits trail twice; there is generally no potable water trailside, but you might be able to find some creeks that could be filtered with suitable devices this year, as we have experienced such a heavy snow-pack. The lack of water is due to the fact that the trail follows ridgelines and shoulders of ridges for the most part, thus is at the top of several watersheds, not at the collection points.
I'd bank on the trail taking your group between 6 and 7 hours. The best riders in the world can manage it in 3 hours; but thats "heads-down / don't stop and enjoy the scenery / 135 pound riders on carbon-fiber and titanium everything bikes / grinding for all they are worth"... No fun!

7 Summits
Thanks Andrew,
How much water did you carry? I might need to get a bigger bladder for my camelback.

Water
I carried 2L on my back, a spare 250ml water bottle, and did not run out on-trail on either ride.
