Cambell Mt. Access - End of a Redneck Era :-)
A bright moment in an otherwise overcast day was discovering that Mike Street, Campbell Mt. landowner / leaseholder has dug a deep trench across the bottom of the Campbell Mt. access road, apparently in preperation of installing a lockable gate across it.
YeeeeeHawwwww!!!
Finally - an end to the braindead morons dragging garbage up there and oftentimes, setting it alight.
Also an end to 4X4s and their garbage-fueled bonfires, their base-stations for dirt biking and the attendant bonfire pits that went along with them!
Wicked! Now Campbell Mt. singletrack stands a better chance of long-term viability. I'm guessing that a lack of bonfire base-station capabilities will drive more rednecks higher up Greyback FSR. There they'll get to deal with uber hardcore Marc Hubbard, the local guide / outfitter who lives at the end of the road... and he likes guns :-)

Will PACA have key access to the gate for our Toonie Races?

Key
Not as far as I am aware to date; but given our track record of working with Mike Street and the Sather family, its not out of the question that PACA may be able to acquire one...

Or we start the race with a cyclo style hurdle and finish on Fiori. As far as drinking goes, we can probably muster the ambition to move back up to the private property just off the road.
