Campbell Mt. ' Access Tour' Empty Campbell Mt. ' Access Tour'

In order to engage the public in the Campbell Mt. access issue, Dan Albas and I feel that the best way of gaining informed consensus is to arrange a group walk of the available access options. As such, PACA will be hosting a full tour of all three proposed routes on Saturday, Feb. 5th, at 1pm and we invite you to join us.

We meet at the new footbridge on Penticton Ave., located approximately 500m prior to the entrance to the Pleasant Valley mobile home park. From there we will ascend the southern ridge-line of Campbell Mt., hike northeast along the face of the mountain, and descend a series of switchbacks above the water treatment plant, returning to our rendezvous point.

Please be aware that this is a 5km off-road hike; dress accordingly, with an eye to appropriate footwear in particular. The route includes numerous sections of steep and challenging terrain and is quite prone to cactus; as such, pets are not recommended companions on this outing.

A map of the hiking route is available on the Penticton & Area Cycling Association’s website at:
