Hi all

Just a quick update to let everyone know the good news: the Campbell Mt. stairway / viewpoint landings project has been given the green light by council and the City of Penticton engineering and planning departments!

This will extend the Penticton Creek trail from its current abrupt terminus near the water reservoir, by adding a footbridge across Penticton Creek, up a wooden stairway-with-viewing-landings, connecting with an existing dual-track trail which switchbacks its way up Campbell Mt.

I've made this something of a personal trail project over the past couple of years and its very satisfying to see it finally 'make the books' as it were!

This task may not see the actual light of day until late 2012, but at least we now have all of the players on the same field...
