Night Riding Setup Empty Night Riding Setup

I'm sharing with you the lights that I used this winter to night ride. This allowed me and two of my friends to continue riding through the winter once a week on average. This is a neat experience if you have never tried it. It makes easy trails that you are used to technical and fun again. There is just something cool about riding on a night with a full moon. Get out and try it!

My handlebar mounted light is a magicshine (claimed 900 lumens probably actually 600-700 lumens). My longest ride was 2.5 hrs and the light was still going strong. I ride uphill with it on the low setting and ride down on the high setting. My helmet light is a Dorcy 160 lumen Flashlight purchased at London Drugs. The concentrated beam of the flashlight compliments the flood pattern of the Magicshine well.

I purchased my magicshine off of Ebay from the seller known as dapedaler
You should be able to get bike specials with light, helmet mount and extension cable all in one package.

The Magicshine is a chinese clone of the Lupine Tesla. It seems to be changing and improving over time. Make sure wherever you purchase from that you get the one with 5 mode settings. This seems to be the most current and improved model.
